Obituary

Albert Russell Magee, 88 of New Hampton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at a Liberty hospital. Russell, the son of Ota and Ida (Youtsey) Magee was born January 11, 1922 in Eastend Saskatchewan, Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathleen Miller. Russell became a United States citizen in 1942, serving in the Army during World War II. On July 20, 1946, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Noble. To this union two children were born, Gerald and Alberta. Russell was a farmer. He also worked for MODOT and retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of Willow Row United Methodist Church, Albany American Legion Post #106 and Bethany VFW Post #2176. Survivors: Wife, Bonnie; Son, Gerald (Kathryn) Magee, Kearney, MO; Daughter, Alberta (Mark) VanVactor, Council Bluffs, IA; Sister, Mildred Crabtree, Prineville, OR; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
