Arnold "Gabby"
Lee Ward
May 9, 1940 — Apr 29, 2019
Arnold Lee "Gabby" Ward, 78, of Albany, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday April 29, 2019 at Pine View Manor in Stanberry, Missouri.
Gabby was born May 9, 1940 near McFall, Missouri to Alva (Alvy) and Delia (Hicks) Ward. They preceded him in death. He was one of 11 siblings. He is survived by brothers Alfred, Newton, Iowa and Willie, Des Moines, IA. Sisters Nadine, Mae, Ruby, Sara, Arty, Frances and brothers Buck and Jim preceded him in death.
Gabby married the love of his life, Suzanne Hamilton, on June 26, 1967. These two were truly soul mates. The never ending love and devotion to each other was exactly as God intended. Their love was so true and genuine. Suzanne passed away on April 29 th as well, in 2017, and spent their 50 th wedding anniversary in Heaven with our Heavenly Father by her side. From this day forward, they will spend each anniversary together, side by side, as they had done everything for 50 years.
Gabby and Suzanne were foster parents for several years, opening their home to many children. During this time, they chose one to adopt and call their own, Trish. His world revolved around the love for his soul mate Suzanne while she was alive, his daughter Trish, his two granddaughters Kami and Kaci, and his great grandson Brinton; all of whom already miss him so very much.
He was a Christian and a member of Gentryville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter Trish, granddaughters Kami and Kaci, great grandson Brinton, one great grandchild on the way and many friends and family who dearly love and miss him.
The family will hold farewell services at 1:00 PM Friday, May 3 at the First Baptist Church in Albany. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations for expenses to Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, MO 64402. Online condolences: www.robersonpolleychapel.com
