Barbara Jeanette (Barber) Crane, from Chillicothe, Missouri passed away, at age 85, on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Morningside Nursing Home.
Jeanette was born June 23, 1939 in Gentry County, Missouri to Clifford and Bernice Barber. She is the second oldest of four children ( Larry, Jeanette, Ed and Addie Kay). She graduated from Worth County high school when she was 16.
Jeanette married Russell Crane on July 12, 1958, in Denver, Missouri. They lived in Albany, Missouri for most of their marriage. They had four children, Richard, Connie, Douglas and Mark. She worked various jobs to support the family after their children went to school.
Family was Jeanette's passion. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything. Some of her favorite memories were vacations with her family on cruises, trips to Branson and South Dakota. She was an amazing cook and seamstress. She loved to read.
Surviving family members are her siblings, Ed ( Jeannie) Barber and Addie Kay (Don) Greenwell, her children, Richard (Terri), Connie, Doug (Joanna) and Mark (Christina), her grandchildren, Michelle (Taylor), Toni, Abby (Ronnie), Austin (Brittney), Alex (Nathan), Kati ( Ashley), Kristen, Nathan, and Emma and her great grandchildren, Celine, Chloe, Haley, Gavin, Kaydi, Landen, Ella, Riley, Jonah, Avery, Eli, Lucas and Mazie.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her husband.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Saturday, September 21 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Children's Mercy, Kansas City, Missouri in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, MO 64402.
