Bette Lee Gregory, 74, of Albany, Missouri, died on April 18, 2014. Bette was one of four children, born on July 23, 1939, to Raymond and Sara Marguerite Fattig. Bette graduated from Grant City High School. Following high school, Bette worked in the Worth County Recorder's office. Following this, she worked for Old American Insurance Company of Albany, Missouri. Bette later decided to attend Caster's Beauty School, where she graduated with her cosmetology license. Bette worked as a beautician in both Grant City and Albany. On June 27, 1964, Bette married Danny Gregory at the Grant City Christian Church. Bette enjoyed her years of being a farmer's wife. She very much loved spending time outside on the farm, tending to flowers and gardening. Bette had such a talent at tole painting and for decorating her home. Bette and Danny looked forward to their many travels, each year, with good friends. Survived by two sons: David (Jennee) Gregory; Doug (Marie Hawthorne) Gregory; grandchildren, Jordan Gregory; Parker Gregory, all of Albany; sisters, Jackie Fattig, Grant City, MO; Jane (Ted) Hilton, Harrisonville, MO; sister-in-law, Linda (Don) Hoover, Warrensburg, MO; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Danny and her sister, Doris Mathis. The family wishes to thank Hands of Hope Hospice and the staff of Orilla's Way for their gracious care of Bette. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 22 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany, with burial in the Old Brick Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM Tuesday morning.
