Billie Crawford, 88 of Albany passed away, May 28, 2012 at King City Manor with his bride of 68 years by his side. Billie, the son of Elza and Mary (Miller) Crawford was born December 20, 1923 in Gentry County. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Grace Irene Crawford and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Johnson. On May 24, 1944, Billie was united in marriage in Troy, Kansas to Ruby M. Crawford. To this union two children were born. In that same year, he started farming with his father, having rented a home near Berlin, Missouri. In September of 1954, Billie and Ruby bought the home of Isaac and Nannie Patton. On August 23, 2011, Billie moved to the King City Manor. Billie was a member of the Albany First Presbyterian Church, King City Masonic Lodge, was a 50 year member of the McFall/Gentryville Lodge and Esther Chapter #13 of the Order of the Eastern Star of Albany.
