Billy (Bud) J. Batson, 66, of Albany, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his home.

Bud was born November 9, 1950 to William H. and Aleene (Paxson) Batson in Albany, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by father, brother, Donnie Lee Batson and step-father, J.D. Marsh.

Bud was a 1968 graduate of the Albany High School.  He served in Vietnam with the United States Air Force.

On October 5, 1973, he was united in marriage to Linda Graham.

He worked for Allison Concrete, Stanberry, Tempmaster, Albany and later Lambert Manufacturing in Gallatin.

Bud was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #2534, Bethany and the Freedom Road Riders.

Survivors: wife, Linda of the home; daughter, Tracie (Nick) Newby, St. Joseph, MO; son, Tyson (Gina Plymell) Batson, Bethany, MO; mother, Aleene Marsh, Albany; grandchildren, Taryn (Jake) Smith, Tiera Fish, Treven and Jaidan Batson, Dakota Hale, Kinsey Jones; great-granddaughters, Ryleigh and Aryiah Smith; brothers, Jerry (Wanda) Batson, Gallatin; Bobby (Cindy) Batson, Albany; sister, Linda (Gene) Whitaker, Albany; step-brother, Terry (Rachel) Marsh, Savannah, MO; step-sisters, Cathy (George) Asbury, Columbia, MO; Debbie (Bob) Sanger, St. Joseph, MO; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Saturday September 9 at the First Baptist Church in Albany.  Burial with military rites will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany.  The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Friday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM Friday.
