Carol Lavon Weese, 82, of Albany, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri after a lengthy illness.

Carol was born September 9, 1935 to Elam E. and Nellie (Shaffer) Barber.

She was a 1953 graduate of Albany High School. On June 3, 1955, she was united in marriage to Rodney G. Weese in Manitou Springs, Colorado. To this union a daughter Peggy was born. Rod preceded her in death August 25, 2002.

Carol was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister Nancy Joyce.

For more than 50 years, Carol was a loyal employee to the Albany Hy-Vee Store. She was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church.

Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Mel Glenn, St. Joseph; grandchildren, Jeff Powers (Heidi) and Laura Crawford; seven beloved great-grandchildren, Colton and Brady Powers, Macie, Madysen and Ryleigh Leonard, Ethan and Emma Crawford; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Judy Weese, Creston, IA; numerous nieces, nephews and many treasured friends.
