Charles William Wilkinson Sr., 81, of Albany, Missouri, passed away on May 15, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Charles was born June 22, 1943 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Lloyd and Lavina (Parker) Wilkinson.
Charles married Linda Stephens April 7, 1962 and to this union five children were born, Chuck, Terry, Marcy, Deanna and Tina. On August 8, 1988, Charles married Etta Blythe Wolf and became a father to Beth and Robin Wolf.
Charles was known for his sense of humor, love for God and his family. He enjoyed going to nursing homes and music shows to sing. He loved to be outside and enjoyed camping. He was an over-the-road truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed being a café owner and was well known for his biscuits and gravy.
Preceding him in death are his parents Lloyd Wilkinson and Lavina England. Siblings Lois Carlson, Eunice Rose and Dorothea Tschirgi and his daughter Terry Hailey Enright.
Survivors include his wife Etta of the home; sister, Evelyn Corporon, Kingsland, TX; his children, Chuck and Missy Wilkinson, Wellington, KS; Marcy and Tim Sorensen, Albany, MO; Deanna Hurkman, Albany, MO; Tina Wilkinson Thompson, Albany, MO; Beth and Jason Quigley, Trimble, MO; Robin and Mike Butterfield, Darlington, MO; 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Vern and Dee Allen, Chillicothe, MO and beloved pet Sassy Sue and many nieces and nephews.
He will be missed beyond words by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Sunday, May18 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. The body will be cremated following the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Sunday prior to the service.
