Danny Gene Gregory, 76, of Albany, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home. He was born November 30, 1936 to Forrest and Uva (Rucker) Gregory in Albany, Missouri. His parents preceded him in death. Danny graduated from Albany High School in 1954 and attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. On January 14, 1960, he joined the Army serving in Germany for two years. He married Bette Fattig on June 27, 1964. Danny was a farmer for over 50 years on the family farm. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, traveling the country with his family, including Canada and Alaska and following NASCAR, attending numerous races in his time. Danny looked forward to his daily routine of driving out to the family farm to visit with David and Doug each morning, leaving at about 10:00 to go visit Norm and Sharon at Pettijohn's, and then come afternoon, heading to Gage's to play cards with the regular players. Survived by: wife, Bette Gregory; sons, Doug Gregory; David Gregory and wife, Jennee (Barnes) Gregory; grandchildren, Parker Gregory and Jordan Gregory, all of Albany; sister, Linda Hoover and husband, Don Hoover of Warrensburg. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday, July 12 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel in Albany with burial in the Old Brick Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM Friday morning.
