Darlene Joy Peery, 63 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 at North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, Missouri. Darlene, the daughter of John V. and Leona (McClure) Peery was born June 16, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri. Her parents preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Lizzie McClure. Darlene worked for the New York State Opera and Ballet in New York. Survivors: sisters, Sandra Standiford, El Centro, CA; Sherry and Anita Peery both of Independence, MO; nephew, John N. Peery, Independence, MO; numerous cousins and friends and her two cats, Blackie and Butterball. Graveside Service and Burial: 2:00 PM Monday, November 23 at the Lone Star Cemetery, Denver, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM on Monday prior to the graveside at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany, where friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM on Monday.
