Dean Martin, 87 of Albany passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 at an Albany hospital. Thomas Dean, the son of Thomas Daniel and Juanita (Marvel) Martin was born January 26, 1924 in Beaver County, Oklahoma. His parents preceded him in death. On December 24, 1942, Dean was united in marriage to Opal Petry. Dean was a World War II Marine Corp veteran, serving the Pacific Theater, including the Battle of Okinawa. He was a member of the Albany First Christian Church and a longtime member of the Albany Golf Club. Dean was a retired parts manager. Survivors: Wife, Opal of the home; Son, Rick Martin, Albany; Grandson, Lucas (Jeanice) Martin, Mulberry, FL; Step-Grandson, Eric (Lindsey) Richardson, Lakeland, FL; Sisters, Noni (Ernie) Lorenson and Madonna Kemper, all of Gower, MO; Great-Grandson, Carson; Step-Great-Grandchildren, Cohen, Cale, Ashley and Emily.
