Obituary

Denny Clifton, 63, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his home. Denny, the son of Willis E. and Augusta (Voelschow) Clifton was born June 8, 1950 in Osceola, Iowa. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Donna Graham, Dorothy Craig and Nancy Vickers, his brother, Dally Clifton and brother-in-law, Jack Coffey. Denny was a Vietnam Army Veteran. On October 30, 1971, Denny was united in marriage to Linda Coffey. To this union, three children were born, Marty, Matthew and Mandi. Denny was a store director for several Hy-Vee Food Stores before his retirement. He was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church, Albany American Legion Post #106, and a past member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club. Survivors: Wife, Linda of the home; sons, Marty (Sunny) Clifton, Iowa City, IA; Matthew (Maisie) Clifton, Ankeny, IA; daughter, Mandi (Scott) Seetin, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Mason and Maclin Clifton, Grant and Tate Clifton and Bennett Seetin; Mother-in-law, Kathryn Renoe, Garden Grove, IA; sisters-in-law, Caroleen Clifton, Excelsior Springs, MO; Ivy Coffey, Russell, IA; brothers-in-law, Hank Graham, Loveland, CO; Jake (Mary) Coffey, Weldon, IA; Randy Coffey, Garden Grove, IA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 1:00 PM Saturday, December 14 at the Albany First Baptist Church. Burial with Military Rites will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday evening at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany, where friends may call anytime after 2:00 on Friday.
