Dolores Gardner Cameron, the daughter of Estill & Velva (Rickabaugh) Lowery was born February 24, 1920 and departed this life on June 18, 2014 at the age of 94. On August 19, 1939 she was united in marriage to her neighborhood sweetheart, Chloral Gardner. Two daughters were born to this union: Susie and Judy. Chloral passed away after 55 years of marriage in 1994. She married Joe Cameron in 1997 and he passed away in 2008. She continued to live on the farm she and Chloral moved to in 1944 until her death. Dolores grew up on her family farm and went to school in Darlington, Omaha, Nebraska and Pattonsburg where she graduated in 1939. Dolores accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and from this faith she never waivered. She was an active member of the Heath United Methodist Church. She was also active in Women's Aglow for many years. She was an active helpmate to Chloral in his farming occupation during their married life. They had a keen awareness of the Lord's presence and direction as they tilled the land and cared for the farm and livestock God had so graciously placed in their care. She really enjoyed sewing, studying the Word of God and continually learning. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Helen, Jean and Frances and her granddaughter, Roseanna Fore Parmenter. Survivors: daughters, Susie (Bob) Cochran, Hermitage, TN; Judy (Don) Fore, McFall, MO; grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie) Fore; Tim (Lee Ann) Cochran; Derek Cochran; eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren Eternal Life does not begin with death; it begins with Faith. Funeral Service: 4:00 PM Saturday, June 21 at the Heath United Methodist Church, Pattonsburg with burial in the McFall Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday at the church, where friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM on Saturday.
