Donald Ivan McGinley, 82, of Darlington, Misssouri was reunited with his wife Linda & children Richard Eugene & Brenda Kay on Thursday July 18, 2024.
He was born on February 02, 1942 in Fonda, Iowa to Henry & Leona McGinley.
There's nothing we can say that will truly express how great of a husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle and friend he really was. He made his living in his early years working construction during the day and farming at night. He also was the foreman of the Gentry County road and bridge crew for many years before retiring and spending the remainder of his years spoiling his cows, chickens, and family (especially the grandkids).
To know him was to love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry & Leona, wife Linda, children Richard & Brenda, brothers Gene & Jerry.
Survivors include Son, Roy Lee McGinley, Darlington, MO; Daughter, Bobbi Jo Fletcher (Victor Genetti) of the home; Daughter, Beth Ann Ramer Darlington, MO; Sister, Bertha (Gene) Sowards, Springfield, MO; Sister, Lela (Joe) Whitmore, Chillicothe, MO; Brother, J.R. (Jennifer) McGinley, Darlington, MO; Granddaughters, Halley (Brandin) Bell, Darlington, MO; Stephanie Ramer, Darlington, MO; Charity Ramer (Jacob Grim), Darlington, MO; Jordanne Anthony (Shaun Hanceross), Albany, MO: Sierra Anthony (Brandon Savage), Albany, MO; Salina Deardorff, Maryville, MO; Grandsons, Johnathon McGinley, Joplin, AR; Adam Ramer (Emily Ross), Albany, MO; Jordan (Morgan) Laytham, Gladstone, MO; and many great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed by many.
Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Saturday, July 27 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Burial in the Rouse Cemetery, Darlington. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Friday evening at the chapel. Friends may call anytime after 3:00 PM on Friday at the chapel.
