Obituary

Donald Gordon Pike, 98 of Darlington, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at his home in Darlington.

Donald, the son of Cleo and Leona (Hatheway) Pike was born July 6, 1917 in Darlington.

Donald served in the Army during World War II. While serving in Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe, he received 3 bronze stars, a silver star and the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Post #359, St. Joseph.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Garvin Pike and other brothers and sisters and son-in-law, Dennis Daleske.

Survivors: daughter, Lillie Daleske; cousin, Norman (Linda) Weatherd; grandchildren, Stacy (Danny) Dougherty, Daniel Daleske and Sarah (Wayne) Cook; great-grandchildren, Angel, Caleb, Abbie, Cameron, Candence, Allison and Audrey.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 6 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Burial with Military Rites will be in the Hall Cemetery, Stanberry, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM on Tuesday. Online condolences: www.robersonpolleychapel.com
