Obituary

Doris Elaine (McDowell) Warren, 85, of Albany, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Doris was born August 8, 1931 in St. Joseph, Missouri to William and Viola (Walrod) McDowell. Doris grew up in a large, loving family.

On September 20, 1953, she married Jerry Allen Warren, who served our Country as a Marine. Doris and Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing together. Jerry preceded her in death August 29, 2010.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, sons, Steven, Randy and Allen Warren, daughter, Anna Warren, 5 brothers, Bud, Ivan, Robert, Harold and Raymond McDowell, 2 sisters, Mildred Bartch and Ellen Foreman.

Doris worked for the St. Joseph School District and also worked as a saleslady for the Paris Store.  In her free time she enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening.

Survivors: daughter, Nancy Warren, Albany; sisters, Billie Hamm and Susie Guinn, both of St. Joseph; grandsons, Colt Warren, Benjamin Boling, Jeremiah Warren; granddaughters, Naomi Henderson, Willow Robinson; great-grandsons, Jacob Henderson, Levi Boling; great-granddaughters, Summer Gregory, Zarah Boling, Kaylynn Nicole Warren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM Saturday.  Graveside service and Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph.  Online Condolences: www.robersonpolleychapel.com
