Dwight F. Farwell, 72, of Albany , Missouri , passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph .

He was born November 9, 1943 in Chicago , Illinois , the son of Frank and Penny (Castleberry) Farwell. They preceded him in death.

Dwight was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran.

He was a former sheriff in Litchfield , Illinois . Dwight was a corporate pilot for Hayes Oil Company in Oklahoma City , Oklahoma and then for Nabisco.

He was a member of the Ancient Craft #377 A.F. & A.M, King City . Dwight was a professional musician and in his free time he enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors: sister, Jan Mellon, Albany; foster sisters, Linda Fleisher, Vancouver, WA; Jane Hirsch, Naperville, IL; several nieces and nephews.
