Emily L. Brown, 78, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at King City Manor.

Emily, the daughter of Emil and Nina Opal (Smith) Carter was born March 7, 1940 in Daviess County, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Burnadine Taylor and her brother Bill Carter.

Emily served as manager for the Pattonsburg Senior Center for several years.

Survivors: son, Doug (Yvette) Shaw, Jameson; granddaughter, Amber Shaw; brother, Garry Carter, Bethany; sister, IRetha Robertson, Pattonsburg; sister-in-law, Katie Carter, Kansas City, KS; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM Friday, September 14 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the chapel.  Online condolences: www.robersonpolleychapel.com
