Esther Ruth Parmenter, 77 of Albany and a former resident of Gentry, Missouri passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at an Albany nursing home. Esther, the daughter of Ira and Ruth (Spencer) Selleck was born May 15, 1933 in Gentry, Missouri. On August 4, 1963, Esther was united in marriage to Charles E. Parmenter. He preceded her in death December 21, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Pearl Parmenter and an infant brother, Victor Selleck. Esther was a member of the Church of God Seventh Day in Stanberry. For 39 years, Esther was an educator in public schools before retiring. Survivors: Sons, John (Roseanna) Parmenter, Albany; David (Nadine) Parmenter, Gallatin; Mark (Theresa) Parmenter, Pattonsburg; Daniel (Kim) Parmenter, Albany; Daughter, Mary (Rick) Holcomb, Albany; Brother, John Selleck, Albany, Oregon; 7 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren.
