Fern M. Moad, 90 of Albany passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Albany. Fern, the daughter of Earl and Bertha (Alsbury) Wilson was born August 31, 1922 in Conception Jct., Missouri. Fern worked as a secretary for the Conception Abbey and also at Carnegie Public Library in Albany. On October 28, 1945, Fern married Orven Moad. He preceded her in death in 1979. She is survived by her children, Leslie (Linda), Paul, Mickey, Denny, Janice, Jane (Ken) Patty (Robert), Cheryl, Eddie, 31 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Vicki and Wilma. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Kenny, Scott and James Moad, 1 grandson, 2 great-grandsons, 1 brother and 3 sisters. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 4 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, MO. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM Tuesday morning.
