Fonda Louise Groom, the daughter of Fonty and Merle (Cole) Graham was born February 10, 1923 in Darlington and passed away on January 9, 2015 at Pineview Manor in Stanberry at the age of 91. On March 12, 1942, Fonda was united in marriage to Harold Lloyd Groom. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2000. Fonda was a homemaker. She had also worked for the cap factory in Stanberry for several years. She was a member of the Darlington Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Tom and John Graham, three sisters, Lillian Grace, Kathleen Skinner and Helen Francis Graham, two grandchildren, Angie Brown and Chad Groom and her daughter-in-law, Dixie Groom. Survivors: two sons, Galen Groom, Darlington, MO; David (Ruth) Groom, Spickard, MO; grandchildren Brian (Leslie) Groom, Bethany; Gayle (Wayne) Allee, Rockport; Mindy (Allen) Williams, Kearney; 5 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-great-grandchildren; 7 nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 1:00 PM Monday, January 12 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Sunday evening at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM on Sunday.
