Gary Kent Wilson passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 47. The cause of death was brain aneurysm. Kent was born in Albany, Missouri on October 1, 1964, the son of Gary and Donna (Stevens) Wilson. Kent graduated from Albany High School in 1983 and graduated from William Jewell College in 1987. While attending William Jewell he was a four year member of the football team as defensive end and a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. Kent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mae Wilson, Max Stevens, G.L. Yetter and an uncle, Gary Toombs. He is survived by his three sons, Austin, Price and Tyler of Omaha, NE; his parents, Gary and Donna Wilson, Trenton, MO; grandmother, Muriel Yetter, Trenton, MO; sister, Kandi Chaney and her husband, Cliff; two nephews, Jake and Connor, niece, Makenna, all of Lincoln, NE; plus a special friend, Nikki Bauman, Lincoln, NE; and one aunt, Sharon Toombs of Bethany, MO. Kent will be remembered as a loving and compassionate father, son, brother and grandson. The joy of his life was spending time with family and friends. Football, country music, snow skiing and fishing were only a few of the hobbies he enjoyed and will be sadly missed by all who remember the outings and sharing these interests with him.
