Garel "Suzie" Dean Ward was born September 14, 1951 in Bethany, Missouri, the son of the late Elmo Leland and Mary Ethel (Manion) Ward and passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the age of 67.

Garel graduated from Albany RIII High School where he was on the wrestling team.

Garel was a forklift operator for Midwest Manufacturing in Stanberry and worked for Burlington Northern Railroad.

Survivors: daughter, Amanda Ward, Kansas City, MO; son, Darron Ward, Bethany; sister, Marleen (Donald) Arthur, Albany; step-children, Stephanie and Kim; step-grandchildren, Nicola, Katie and Tiffany; 2 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 2:30 PM Sunday, September 15 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. The body will be cremated following the service, with inurnment at a later date in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany.
