Gayle Weese, the daughter of David and Saphronia (Jerauld) Thurman was born August 26, 1916 in Gentry County, Missouri and passed away peacefully on December 25, 2013 at Golden Age Living Center in Stover, Missouri at the age of 97. Gayle spent most of her life living in the St. Joseph and Kansas City, Missouri area. In 1935, she was united in marriage to Daniel Eugene Weese. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and youngest son, Kenneth Dewayne Weese. Survivors: son, Rex Weese and wife Susan, Lee's Summit, MO; three granddaughters, Gayle Brandes and Bill Hurt, Sedalia, MO; Amy King and husband Steven, St. Louis, MO; Julie Harris and husband Brett, Lee's Summit, MO; four great-grandchildren, Josh Brandes, Wesley, Maggie and Claire Harris. Due to the early death of her husband, Gayle raised her two sons by herself and worked many different jobs and long hours to support herself and them. She did this without complaining and still had time to show them plenty of love. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She loved decorating her home at Christmas time and giving gifts to her family. Funeral Service: 1:00 PM Saturday, December 28 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Rouse Cemetery, Darlington.
