Obituary

George Leo Galbraith, 65 of Stanberry went to a better life from his home on Sunday, February 14, 2010 after a lengthy illness. George was born February 26, 1944 in Maryville, Missouri to William and Mary (Kern) Galbraith. He lived his whole life in the Stanberry area. George was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. He was an over the road truck driver. George had served in the Army National Guard. He was united in marriage to Pam Walsh on May 31, 1969. She survives of the home in Stanberry. He is also survived by sisters, Agnes Jennings, Rose Henggeler, Mary Spillman, Martha Floyd and Ruth Galbraith; brother Everett Galbraith; special grandson, Michael Hillyard and great-granddaughter, Keira Renee Hillyard; special nephews Stephen Galbraith and James Hillyard, best friend and brother-in-law Harlan Spain and sister-in-law Sandra Spain and nieces Cindy Spain-Town and Kim Spain; nephews, Willie and Jason Floyd; Don Jennings; Will, Mike, Robbie, Reggie and Danny Galbraith; Mark Spillman; David Henggeler; Richard Goucher and nieces, Brenda Jennings, Ronda Noble, Teresa Strawhacker, Andrea Ringle; Mary Jo Hilsabeck, Rita Piveral, Sharon Gormley, Debra Henggeler and Jerri Anderson; Angela Hess; Christine Armstrong; Traci Spillman; Jamie Williams and Kim Cochran. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Conrad, sister Clara, brothers-in-law Lael Floyd and Maurus Henggeler and two nephews Gregory and Steven Jennings. George was an avid hunter and fisherman and his greatest joy was teaching and hunting with his nephews and grandson. He will be sorely missed by family and all who knew him.
