Gisty Lee Rhoad, 78 of Gentry, Missouri, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012. Gisty was the son of Edgar and Laura Pearl (Price) Rhoad. He was born March 13, 1934 in Dekalb County, Missouri. In 1955, he was united in marriage to Carroll Lee Murrell. Gisty was an Army Veteran. He was a farmer and construction worker. Gisty was a member of the Church of Christ Church in Worth, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 infant sisters and 4 brothers, Roy Gene, Earl Dean, Clarence and Warren Rhoad. Survivors: wife, Carroll Rhoad; brother, Everett (Ruthann) Rhoad, King City, MO; sisters, Mary Lou (Robert) Riney, Aurora, IL; Joyce English, Kansas City, MO; Linda (Jim) Mason, Maysville, MO; Laura (Steve) Gerdes, Elwood, KS; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Thursday, December 27 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Burial with Military Rites in the Old Brick Cemetery, Albany, MO.
