Glenda Joyce Guess, 75 of Albany passed away Friday morning, November 7, 2008 at her home. Glenda was born September 19, 1933 to Clarence and Ella (Carlock) Ruch in Albany, Missouri, where she attended school. She married Charles Marion Guess on July 15, 1950 and remained in Gentry County for the majority of her life. Marion preceded her in death on September 17, 2000. Glenda was an active member of the First Christian Church and CWF in Albany. She also served as a volunteer for Hands of Hope Hospice. Glenda was a homemaker. She enjoyed nature, traveling and gardening and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Besides her husband, Glenda was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Avery and Olen Ruch, Lorena Welch, Neva Porter and Faye Whiteaker. She is survived by her two children, Charles Lynn Guess (Cathy Collins) of St. Joseph and Gayle (David) Guess, Albany; six grandchildren, Andi (Paul) Houseworth, Apex, NC; Alyssa (Bobby) Smith, Albany; Ryan and Keaton Guess, Maryville; Jaclyn Guess, Warrensburg and Brandon Collins, St. Joseph.
