Glenna Lee Cottrill Silkett, 71, of Albany, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at her home. Glenna, the daughter of Donald and Mildred (Parman) Green was born on August 14, 1942 in Gentry County, Missouri. On July 2, 1960, Glenna was united in marriage to Charles Cottrill. To this union three children were born, David, Chuck and Melissa. Charles preceded her in death on February 1, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her father, Donald Green. On May 20, 1999, she married Vancil Silkett. He survives of the home in Albany. She is also survived by her sons, David (Brenda) Cottrill; Chuck (Jill) Cottrill; daughter, Melissa (Todd) Steele; mother, Mildred Green, all of Albany; brother, Parman (Linda) Green, Carrollton, MO; step-daughters, Anita and Cheryl Silkett; grandchildren, Brad (Lindsay) Cottrill; Bryant Cottrill; Levi Woods, Seth Bennett; Jacob (Ashley) Cottrill; Derek and Drew Cottrill; great-grandchild, Lucas Cottrill; step-grandchildren, Scott (Andrea) Shavnore; Stephanie Shavnore; Haylee (Alex) Wall; step-great-grandchild, Cooper Wall. Glenna was a homemaker and a member of the Albany First Christian Church. Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Friday, December 27 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. There is no scheduled family visitation, however friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM Thursday at the chapel.
