Gretta Joe Sprague, the daughter of John and Mildred (Walker) Mikes was born September 10, 1934 in Pattonsburg, Missouri and passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at King City Manor at the age of 81.
Gretta attended school in Pattonsburg. She married Billy Paul Sprague on January 10, 1951. After they were married, they moved to Gentryville where she spent most of her life. To this union four children were born, Brenda, Randy, Billy and Glenda. Billy Paul preceded her in death on January 27, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Glenda at the age of 2, sisters, Genevieve Searcy, Freda Powell, brothers, Richard and Charles Allen Mikes.
Gretta worked at the Pattonsburg Cap Factory for many years and later worked for the Albany One Stop. She was a life long member of the Pattonsburg Pentecostal Church.
Survivors: daughter, Brenda (Bill) Constant, Albany; sons, Randy Sprague, Darlington; Billy (Sherri) Sprague, King City; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Mikes, Pattonsburg; Ramon Mikes, Albany; Lonnie Mikes, Pattonsburg;
nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Sunday, December 6 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the McFall Cemetery.
