Harold "Red" Blessing, 78, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2011 in his family home north of New Hampton, Missouri. Born December 7, 1932 in New Hampton, he was the son of the late Clyde and Birdie Blessing. Red graduated from New Hampton High School. From 1952 to 1956, he honorably served in the United States Navy. On December 11, 1957, he married Charlotte Sue Barnett. Beloved husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue (Barnett) Blessing; (four children) Tammy (Rick) Miller of Worth, MO, Marianne (Robert) Sutton of Albany, MO; Peggy (Allen) Pigg of Worth, MO, Danny (Maurita) Blessing of Pensacola, FL; (11 grandchildren) Eric and Ashton Miller, Jeremy and Joshua Sutton, Randy, Brian and Amanda Pigg, and Christopher, Nicholas, Zachary, and Charlotte Blessing; and (four great grandchildren) Joseph, Jacob, and Jasmine Sutton and Braylon Shannon. Cherished brother. Red leaves in passing two brothers, Marion and Merle Dwaine, and five sisters, Dorothy, Blanche, Olive, Shirley and Rosalie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Birdie Blessing and his sister Marie.
