Harold V. Newman, 87 of Darlington, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at an Albany hospital. Harold was born May 3, 1925 in Albany, Missouri. He was the son of John Rice and Matilda (Martin) Newman. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Margaret Costa and great-grandson, Robert Eugene Wilson Miller. On September 10, 1948, Harold was united in marriage to Mary Snyder. Harold was a World War II Navy veteran. During his lifetime, he was a carpenter and worked for Albany Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company for 14 years before retiring. He was a member of the Darlington Baptist Church. Survivors: Wife, Mary and Daughter, Sharon Curry both of the home in Darlington; Daughter, Maxine (Randall) Cooper, Homer, Alaska; Son, Paul Newman, Albany; Sister, Lois Musick, Overland Park, KS; Grandchildren, Stephanie McIntyre, Mary Emily Miller, Jason (Susan) Newman, Melissa (Cody) Newman, Paula Hall, Jeremy (Dawn) Cooper, Jamie (Luke) Foster and Julia Cooper; 20 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 4 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany.
