Helen Iris Anderson, the daughter of Ernest Lee and Helen Elizabeth (Noble) Anderson was born on September 8, 1940 in Darlington, Missouri and passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Albany at the age of 73. Iris was a member of the Gentryville Baptist Church and later attended the Albany First Baptist Church. Iris was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors: sister, Sharon (Larry) Allenbrand, Albany; niece, Tammy Allenbrand Green, Albany; nephew, Steve (Val) Allenbrand, Wood Heights, MO; great-nieces, Landrien (Germaine) McCoy; Kisha (Paul) Banister; Brittany Allenbrand; Jasmine Henry; great-nephews, Devin Allenbrand and Cordell Allenbrand. The family requests that everyone attending the funeral service to wear some form of pink, since this was her favorite color. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Friday, April 18 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM Friday morning.
