Helen R. Thatcher, 92 of Albany and a former resident of Yankee Lane, Darlington, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, April 22, 2012 at an Albany nursing home. Helen was born September 22, 1919 in Coffey, Missouri. She was the daughter of Guy L. and Mary (Plymell) Rice. On May 18, 1946, Helen was united in marriage to Marvin H. Thatcher. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Rice. Helen was a homemaker and worked as packing supervisor for the Pattonsburg Cap Factory and then later transferred to the Stanberry Cap Factory. She was a member of the Maple Grove Baptist Church. Survivors: Daughter, Sharon (Jim) Grace, Albany; Son, Gene (Mary Dee) Thatcher, Pattonsburg; Grandchildren, Lori McCampbell, David and Jeff Bounds, Mary and Molly Thatcher; Great-Grandchildren, Leslie McCampbell, Khol Marvin Bounds and Grant David Bounds; Sister, Violet Masters, Odessa, MO.
