Ida Mae (McDaniel) Christie, the daughter of Orley and Cordia Mae (Sutton) McDaniel, was born January 7, 1923 in Bethany, Missouri. Ida Mae passed away July 26, 2024 at the age of 101.

Ida Mae was united in marriage to Maurice "Chub" Christie June 7, 1942. He preceded her in death August 11, 2007.

Ida Mae was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church in Albany.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, son Ronald, sisters Lela McDaniel, Leona Flint and Dola Ward, brothers Keith, Glenn and Earl McDaniel.

Survivors: daughter, Pat (Dannie) Stanton, New Hampton, MO; son, Rick (Erica) Christie, Wamego, KS; daughter, Renee (Mike) Slayman, Marshall, MO; daughter-in-law, Rae Christie, Haslet, TX; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday, August 2 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Burial in the Foster Cemetery, New Hampton, MO. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the chapel. Friends may call anytime after 9:00 AM on Friday.
