J.B. Sperry, 83, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at his home south of Albany, Missouri.
J.B. was born September 25, 1934 in Harrison County, northeast of McFall to Cleo and Clemma (Musick) Sperry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Daryell Sperry.
He attended Pilot Knob grades one through eight, New Hampton School and graduated from Bethany High School in 1953.
J.B. served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957. Following his honorable discharge, he worked for the Smith and Loveless Steel Co. of Lenexa, Kansas.
On November 16, 1956, he was united in marriage to Evyln Swope. To this union two children were born Jay Brian and Traci Lynn.
In March of 1959, J.B. started work in maintenance for the Pattonsburg Cap Factory, transferring to the Stanberry Cap Factory in August of that year, leaving the factory in 1965 to drive a propane truck for Albany Coop until 1967. J.B. retired as maintenance engineer from the Albany Regional Center in 1993. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church of McFall.
Survivors: wife, Evyln (Tootsie) Sperry of the home; son, Brian Sperry, Albany; daughter, Traci Alley, Ridgeway; brother, Edmond (Woody) Sperry, McFall; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
