Jean M. Hopkins, 78, of Albany, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Northwest Medical Center in Albany.

Jean was born July 18, 1938 in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Edwin and Burnice (Edwards) Shurbert.  They preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Chelsie Jolyn Van Ausdal.

Jean married Donald L. Hopkins on December 18, 1961.

Jean worked as a certified nurse's aid for 23 years before retiring.

She is a member of the Albany First Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors: husband, Donald; children, Norma (Jerry) Morrow; Peggy Van Ausdal; Michael (Lynett) Van Ausdale; Dennis Van Ausdal; Ronald (Connie) Hopkins; Lisa (Todd) Wilson; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
