Jerry Allen Warren, 78 of Albany passed away, Sunday, August 29, 2010 at a King City nursing home. Jerry, the son of Howard and Leona (Blanchard) Warren was born September 28, 1931 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Jerry was a Retired Gunnery Sergeant for the US Marine Corp. He served during the Korean and Vietnam wars, receiving the purple heart and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. On September 20, 1953, he was united in marriage to Doris McDowell. She survives of the home. He is also survived by Son, Randy Warren, Darlington; Daughter, Nancy Warren, Albany; 5 grandchildren, Naomi Henderson, Benjamin Boling, Colt Warren, Jeremiah Warren and Willow Star Robinson Warren; 4 Great-grandchildren, Summer Gregory, Jacob Henderson, Zarah Boling and Levi Buechler. Jerry was a member of the VFW and US Marine Corp League of St. Joseph. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Corrine Lard, two sons, Steven and Allen Dale Warren and one daughter, Anna Louise Warren.
