John Ross, 82, of Albany, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.

John was born March 22, 1934 in Grant City, Missouri, the last living son of Arthur Henry and Elsie Mae (Rickabaugh) Ross.

He married Phyllis Ann Wilkerson June 22, 1957. Prior to retiring, he and Ann were longtime residents of LeGrand, Iowa.  For 40 years, John worked as a heavy equipment operator for Martin Marietta in Ferguson, Iowa.  Ann preceded him in death March 28, 2013.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, grandson Dustin Ross, brother Earl Ross, infant sisters Fern and Opal Ross, sisters Vera Moak, Velma Yandell, Dorothy Miller and June Moore.

Survivors: Sons, John (Patty) Ross, Kingman, AZ; Terry (Tammy) Ross, Scranton, IA; grandchildren, Jennifer Ross, Michelle (Jeremy Wilson) Ross, Darrin (Kate) Ross, Blake Ross, Nathan (Bekah) Ross; great-grandchildren, Icie Weston and Stormie Ann Baker.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Monday, February 20 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ravenwood, Missouri.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday evening at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 2:00 PM Sunday.  Memorial Contributions:  Boy's Town in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N.
