Joyce Louise Nicholas, 71, of St. Joseph , Missouri , passed away, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Abbey Woods Living and Rehab in St. Joseph , MO.

Joyce was born September 13, 1945 in Darlington , Missouri . She was the daughter of Carl M. and Angeline (Petty) Oyler. They preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her sister Vyrl Cox.

Joyce was a receptionist at an early childcare center. She was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church .

Survivors: sons, Todd Nicholas, St. Joseph, MO; Chris Nicholas, Parkville, MO; granddaughter, Danielle Nicholas; sister, Claudine Elder, Albany; nieces and nephews.
