Kenneth R. Bandel was born September 28, 1932 to Alida and Reinhold Bandel in St. Francis, Kansas. He was the oldest of four children leaving behind three sisters Doris, Laura and Marcella. Kenneth passed away October 25, 2017 at Northwest Medical Center in Albany, Missouri at the age of 85.

Over the years Kenneth owned several gas stations until his truck driving career took off at which point he moved from Kansas to Colorado. He retired with over 35 years of over the road truck driving, his specialty being pulling three trailers at once across Kansas and Colorado.

He had a great love and talent for growing flowers. His home in Colorado was well known and loved by all the neighbors as the most beautiful and colorful every year.

Kenneth recently moved from Colorado to New Hampton, Missouri to reside with his daughter RoJeanna Teggart and husband Paul. He thoroughly enjoyed all the 'green' and was absolutely captivated by the beautiful lightening storms and pristine sunsets. He spent many hours on the front deck watching the hummingbirds and the goldfinch.

Kenneth was blessed with 3 daughters, Lavenda, RoJeanna, Laurie, one son, Darrell, 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Services were held in St Francis Kansas with burial in St Francis Cemetery.
