Kenneth M Gillespie, 92 of Albany, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at a St. Joseph, Missouri hospital. Kenneth, the son of Homer and Bernice (Marshal) Gillespie was born July 18, 1920 in Darlington, Missouri. On December 21, 1940, he was united in marriage to Henrietta Bower. They have enjoyed 72 years of marriage together. Before his retirement, Kenneth was City Administrator for the City of Albany. He was a member of the Albany First Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Clifford Gillespie. Survivors: wife, Henrietta Gillespie of the home; son, Craig (Cindy) Gillespie, Albany; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Monday, March 18 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday at the chapel, where friends may call anytime after 10:00 AM Monday.
