Larry E. Gillespie, 62 of Albany passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 at an Albany hospital. Larry, the son of Eldon and Jane (Henderson) Gillespie was born December 5, 1947 in Gentry, Missouri. On March 15, 1980, Larry was united in marriage to Deanna Jincks. She survives of the home in Albany. He is also survived by daughters, Lisa Stevens, Lone Jack, MO; Laura Gillespie, Kansas City, MO; Son, Logan Gillespie, Albany; Parents, Eldon and Jane Gillespie, Albany; brother Stan Gillespie, Leawood, KS; Sisters, Janis Campbell, Columbia, MO; Pam Gillespie, Kansas City, MO; granddaughters Olivia and Julia Stevens. He was preceded in death by his brother Stuart Gillespie and two infant children. Larry worked as a corrections officer for Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron, Missouri. He was a member of the Albany First Christian Church and a member of Athens Lodge #127 A.F. & A.M. of Albany. Larry had been a member of the Army National Guard.
