Laura L. Rieks, 88 of Albany, Missouri passed away, Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Crestview Nursing Home in Bethany. Laura, the daughter of Odes and Opal(Hoult) Warren was born April 6, 1926 in Akron, Colorado. On April 19, 1948, she was united in marriage to Richard John Rieks. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Shelia Cain, grandchild, Kimberly Cain, great-grandchild, Charlie Garner, two brothers, John and Kenneth and a sister Kae Marsh, son-in-law, William Bargfrede. Laura was a homemaker. Before retiring she had worked as a dairy tech in Lebanon, Missouri. She was a member of the Bethany Assembly of God Church. Survivors: children, Dick (Ladwell) Rieks, Bethany; Sharon Bargfrede, Sweet Springs, MO; John (Teresa) Rieks, Concordia, MO; David (Anna) Rieks, Leander, TX; son-in-law, Fred Cain, Albany; sisters, Marion Warren, Bethany; Barbara Harris, Sacramento, CA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Thursday, April 24 at the Assembly of God Church in Bethany with burial in the McFall Cemetery, McFall, MO. There is no scheduled family visitation, however friends may call anytime after 10:00 AM on Thursday at the church.
