LaVaughn Lininger, 73 of Albany passed away, Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Colonial Manor in Albany. LaVaughn, the daughter of Clarence and Anna Evelyn (Wood) Burton was born November 6, 1938 in Albany. On October 12, 1967, she was united in marriage to Norman Lininger. LaVaughn was a homemaker and farmhand. She was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Ann Norton and brothers, James, Robert and Donald. Survivors: Husband, Norman, Albany; Daughters, Jane (John) Miller; Tammy Hamilton; Lorie (Bill) Sorensen; Connie (Steve) Adams, all of Albany; Sons, Clayton (Courtney) Lininger; Chris (Christine) Lininger, both of Albany; Step-Daughter, Barb (Randy) Adcock, Stanberry; Step-Son, Ronnie (Michelle) Lininger, New Hampton; Brothers, Charles, Harold, Wesley and Marion Burton, all of Albany; Sisters, Betty Walker, St.. Joseph; Elizabeth Butterfield and Sharon Dahl, both of Bethany; Louise Moad and Barbara King both of Albany; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and great and great-great nieces and nephews. Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Friday, October 26 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date.
