Lonnie Lavane Messner, 69 of Kansas City, Missouri and a former resident of Albany, Missouri passed away, Tuesday, October 19, 2010 in Blue Springs, Missouri. Lonnie, the son of Earnest Joseph and Thelma (Fitzsimmons) Messner was born April 16, 1941 in Gentry County, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jean and Dean. For several years, Lonnie was a salesman for John Deere before his retirement. He was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Albany. On August 21, 1999, he was united in marriage to Peggy O'Neal. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his daughter, Tammie (Doug) Schmitz, Cameron, MO; Brother, Leon (Carolyn) Messner, Albany; Step-Sons, Daniel (Rebecca) Bounds, Lee's Summit, MO; Randy (Debbie) Collins, Lee's Summit; Rick Collins, Basehor, KS; Step-Daughters, Christine Bounds, Sugar Creek, MO; Micshell Harwig of Tennessee; Mother-in-law, Marilyn O'Neal, Bethany; Sister-in-law, Liese (Joe) Mesey, Independence, MO; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
