Louetta Brown Shaffer, 97 of Maryville, Missouri and a former resident of Albany passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville. Louetta, the daughter of Wesley and Ora (Mitchell) Parsons was born August 2, 1911 in Gentry, Missouri. Louetta married Harvey Matthew Brown on September 19, 1930. To this union three children were born, Granville, Larry and Barbara. He preceded her in death July 31, 1967. On November 17, 1973, she married Paul Shaffer. He preceded her in death September 1, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Woodson, Herman and Herbert Parsons and a grandson, Jeffrey Miller. Louetta was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Albany. Survivors: Sons, Granville Brown and wife Ellen of Bolckow, MO; Larry Brown and wife Judy, Omaha, Nebraska; Daughter, Barbara Miller and husband Tom, Maryville, MO; Sister,Wilma Gilbert, Flushing, New York; Step-daughters, Donna Robertson, Olathe, KS; Carolyn Jennings and husband, Ron, Topeka, KS; Grandchildren, Shelly Langenegger, Sonya Turner, Ingrid Brown, Jason Brown, Derek Brown, Scott Miller, Leslie Drake; Great-grandchildren, Mark & Ryan Langenegger; Haley & Hanna Turner; Tanner, Caroline and Hadley Brown; Shane and Justin Miller; Mackenzie, Spencer and Alexis Hawk; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
