Luetta Smith, 84 of Albany, Missouri passed away, Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Pineview Manor in Stanberry, Missouri. Luetta was born in Lone Star, Missouri on March 29, 1928 to Ed and Edna (Runyan) Henton. On July 9, 1950, Luetta was joined in marriage to Raymond Smith. To this union 5 children were born. Raymond preceded her in death February 19, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister, Paul, George, Leo, Orval, Tom and Dorothy Manion. Raymond and Luetta opened Raymond Smith Body Shop on December 3, 1953 in Albany. Together they ran this business until they were no longer able to work. Luetta and her family lived in Albany where Luetta was an active member of the First Baptist Church, enjoyed attending auctions, a dedicated bowler for nearly fifty years, and a lifelong supporter of Albany sports. Luetta was also well known in the community for her love of cooking and hosting large family gatherings. She is survived by her children, Robert (Barbara) Smith, Albany; Beverley (Steve) Brewington, Raymore, MO; Roger Smith, Albany; Barbara (Tim) Shupe, Stanberry; Lori (Jason) Nelson, Independence, MO; Grandchildren, Derek Shupe, Robb (Susan) Smith, Mikala Smith, Brooke Shupe, Linsey Smith, Alisha Dillivan, Lesley and Jimmy Nelson, Great-Grandchild, Connor Smith; several nieces and nephews.
