Madonna Phillips, 73 of Linwood, Kansas passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at a Shawnee Mission, Kansas hospital. Madonna was born March 24, 1939 in Albany, Missouri. She was the daughter of Joe and Doris (Steinman) Pickering. Her parents preceded her in death. On August 29, 1959, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Phillips. Survivors: Husband, Kenneth Phillips, Linwood, KS; Son, Jeff (Lori) Phillips, Bonner Springs, KS; Daughter, Pam Widmer, Marysville, KS; Step-Son, Kenny Jones; Step-Daughter, Kathy Cherry; Brother, Danny (Doris) Pickering, Albany; Sisters, Betty Phillips and Sue Robbins both of Basehor, KS; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Saturday, July 7 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. There is no scheduled family visitation, however friends may call anytime after 8:00 AM Saturday morning at the chapel.
