Margaret Ruth Quinn, 85, of Albany, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Pine View Manor in Stanberry, Missouri.
She was born August 6, 1932 in Gentry County Missouri, the daughter of Glenn H. and Zelma Ruth (Evans) Allenbrand.
On June 7, 1952 she married Robert Gene Quinn in Albany, Missouri. Their attendants were Maurice and Nell Guess also of Albany. Bob and Ruth made their home in the Albany and Carmack area all their life.
Ruth began her schooling in country school. She then attended and graduated from Albany RIII High School. Her first job was at Old American Insurance in Albany. She was a housewife and mother to her two daughters staying at home and helping Bob on the farm. The mid 70's she starting working for Marge and Harley Foster at the Sears Store in Albany. In 1980 she continued working at Sears for Rod and Nancy Gillespie. They sold the store to Jim and Joann Gibbany and she continued to work with them until they closed and she retired. Later Ruth collected taxes for Hugginsville township, worked part time for Dr Larry Long in Albany and Rick Glenn CPA, Bethany, Missouri. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Albany. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother "Ruthie".
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob; infant son Terry; son in law Lynn Ratliff; great grandson Kadyn McClellan; sisters Verta Jane Allenbrand, Bessie Redman and brother Glenn E. Allenbrand.
She is survived by daughters, Barb Ratliff; Vivian (Tim) Murray. Granddaughters Kerri (Brian) Thurston, Kelli (Cameron) Harrison. Grandsons Zack (Liane) McClellan; Kipp (Cara) McClellan. Great grandchildren, Eli, Emma and Ainsley Thurston; Gianna and Brecklyn Harrison; Korbyn McClellan and Miles McClellan. Brothers Larry (Sharon) Allenbrand; Bobbie Allenbrand. Sister in law Betty Rinehart. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Monday, May 21 at the First Baptist Church in Albany with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church, where friends may call anytime after 9:30 AM Monday. Memorial Contributions: Mosaic Life Care Hospice or Carmack Cemetery in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, MO 64402.
