Margot A.L. Folgate age 97 of Columbus, Ohio passed away February 8, 2025. Margot Alwina Lisa Maria Marting was born January 30, 1928, at Frankfurt am Main Hesse, Germany to Ernst Heinrich Martin (1878-1950) and Kathrina Theresaia (Wollman) Martin (1898-1970), She attended private school and endured some atrocities of World War II including having their home and her father's business destroyed by bombs.  After World War II, she worked in the office of Major Eldon Folgate, USAF. Margot Martin and Eldon Chauncey Folgate were married August 25, 1955, in Albany, Missouri, While Eldon was serving the USAF, Margot was active in the Military Wives Club, helping younger service men's wives when their husbands were overseas. After marriage, Margot and Eldon settled in Columbus, Ohio where they spent the remainder of their years. They owned and managed rental properties. Margot and Eldon enjoyed being world travelers and especially traveling to Texas and Mexico in the wintertime until Eldon passed away February 10, 2002. Even after Eldon's passing, Margot traveled to vacation locations in her motor home. Margot is survived by nieces and nephews from the Folgate family and special friend Roswitha Anderson who was her caregiver and neighbor.

Memorial Graveside Service will be held following the burial of Lorene Bell (Pierce) Mathews in the Hugginsville Cemetery, Gentry, MO on Tuesday, March 11.
